About this site
Privacy
Triage Board sets no cookies, runs no analytics, ads or tracking scripts, and has no accounts or forms that send anything to us. The single thing it records is a press of a Get the app button, logged on the server and listed field by field below.
What each action leaves behind
| You | What is recorded | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Read a page | Nothing by us. The host that serves the files sees your IP address, as any web server does, and may keep routine request logs. | Hosting provider |
| Answer tickets, run the mock, enter an exam date | Nothing. Answers, scores, the clock and the date stay in the open tab and are gone on reload. | Your browser only |
| Press Get the app | One click line, described in the next section | Our go. subdomain |
| Write to the developer | Your address and message, used to reply | The app store listing's contact |
The one thing we log: app-button clicks
Only the Get the app buttons are logged. They point to go.cysa-triage-board.com/app, a small redirect service on our own subdomain. On an iPhone or Android phone it sends you straight to the App Store or Google Play. On a desktop it shows a short page with store badges and a link to our free practice; pressing one of those goes through go.cysa-triage-board.com/out/… and is logged as a second line. Each line is written on the server, by Cloudflare's edge, after the response has already gone to your browser. No cookie is set, no script runs in your browser for it, and no identifier follows you between pages or visits. Ordinary page views are not logged by us at all. A logged line holds:
- event
appfor a press of a Get the app button, outfor a press of a store or practice badge on the go. page.- page_path, page_source
- Which page of this site the button was on: from the button's own link (
pg=), else from the Referer header, else none. - src
- Where on the page the button sat (header, side panel, bottom band, front board).
- os, target
- Whether the browser looked like iOS, Android or a desktop, and where it was sent: App Store, Google Play, our practice page, or the go. page with the badges.
- ip, asn, as_org
- The IP address of the request and the network it belongs to.
- country, region, city, timezone, colo
- Approximate location as Cloudflare's edge sees it, and which edge data center answered.
- user_agent, referer
- The browser's User-Agent and Referer headers, as sent.
- query
- Campaign tags (
utm_*) if the link carried any.
What is never collected
No names, no email addresses through the site, no device fingerprints and no identifier that follows you from site to site. Fonts and the one script file are served from this domain, so a page view sends nothing to font, analytics or ad services.
Click lines are used to compare which pages send readers on to the app, and may later be matched against app install counts for the same purpose. They are not sold or shared with advertisers, and no automatic deletion date is set for them at present. Questions about them go through the route on the contact page.
Who runs the site
An independent study site with no tie to CompTIA; the about page explains how the content is sourced and checked.
